What is the purpose of that? Won't it have terrible accuracy firing from the hip? If you want to hit anything far away, you're shit out of luck.
You can take off the handle. But when you want to feel like a badass, its there.

Bastards at Mossberg stole my idea..

I made one before it was even cool to do so. All I did though was but a pistol grip on a 14" LE 590A1 but still, I did it first Mossberg. Also, I don't any firearms, legally or illegally or do I......

Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
Finally found some 1911s that don't make me sick. Both are Officer length models. Seems I only like both AR-15 and 1911 platform firearms when they're shrunk down to as small as they can get for maximum firepower in a small package.
STI Off Duty in 9x19mm or .45 ACP:
http://www.stiguns.com/guns/OffDuty/OffDuty.php
Apparently everything STI makes kicks ass. Judging by the price of most of their stuff, it better be awesome. I'd get this one in .45 ACP because it still has that classic 1911 feel with its blued finish and wooden grips (which I'd switch out for Hogue grips since those I know are amazing)
Colt Defender in 9x19mm and .45 ACP:
http://www.coltsmfg.com/Catalog/ColtPistols/ColtDefenderSeries.aspx
Since the more classic 1911s here have a trench style sight system (looks like the ASP from BO), I'd go for the stainless models. Here though, I'd get it in 9x19mm. With those wrap around rubber grips + the lower recoiling 9mm (which I could also load it with special low recoiling rounds), you could drop targets no problem up to 25 (anything beyond and I'd rather take a full sized gun).
Now obviously both of these would be classified as prohibited in Canada because of their barrel lengths but anyone in the States should buy either of these or both.

Chinese copy of the PPSh? DO WANT! Only problem is it only takes 35 round stick mags and no 71 round drum mags.

Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
Question: I was watching Generation Kill and came across something that bothered me. In one episode, one of the marines fires out of the window with what's referred to as a SAW. Later in the episode, the people he shot came to the camp for help and the medic says that they were hit with 5.56mm.
Is there such a thing as an SAW that fires 5.56? I know the SAW moniker is fairly common, but based on my limited knowledge, I always thought they would fire 7.62x51mm.
Here's the gun in question.

Well, SAW is just a common term which means "Squad Automatic Weapon". The gun in question is the M249 SAW that is in fact chambered in 5.56x45 NATO (aka .223 Remington +P but they're pretty much interchangeable). If he said it was chambered in anything else, there would be a problem.

Which country? If it was the North Korean SKS, you missed out. All we get here though is the Chinese and Russian ones. I would love some variety here.

You should really get informed when buying communist weapons because they could have come from almost any communist country. Some are worth a lot like the ones from Eastern Germany and North Korea just because of how few of them there are.
Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
The gun shop i was in was loaded with rare guns so i would assume it was a good one.

Might I suggest the Beretta 92FS Brigadier Inox in 9x19mm Parabellum (its legal for sale in CA, I checked):
Also availible in non Inox version:

Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
Well I found the Ruger .22LR pistol I would get integrally surpressed for the impending zombie apocalypse, the Ruger Mark III Model# 10130 in .22LR (obviously). Unfortunately its a distributor exclusive and therefore harder to find in Canada since Lipseys only distributes in the US, but I am sure it could be done.
Ruger Mark III in .22LR Model# 10130:
http://www.ruger.com/products/markIIIDE/specSheets/10130.html
The blued finish with those pretty Hogue Silver Aluminum grips are the main attraction to this gun. I knew it would be a Ruger .22LR, I just didnt know which one until I saw this.
