Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
OMG found another awesome single action revolver. Ruger's Blackhawk in .30 Carbine, the same caliber as the M1 Carbine. It has a 7.5" barrel and hold 6 rounds. Would have gotten the .327 Federal Magnum but .32 calibers are prohibited.

Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
Another good choice is the Taurus Judge with a 6.5" barrel. Who wouldn't like a shotgun pistol? It also fires .45 LC so I'm good either way.

Ok, I will rename it to the Official Gun Thread.
Also, why would you want a .22? Id rather have the HK94 in 9mm with the ugly barrel. But if you really want it, get it. Try finding a GSG-5 instead though.

Thought I'd contribute to the discussion even though I know nothing about guns. What gun is this ?

Looks like an HK91, lemme double check again.
Nope, H&K SR9T. Basically a modified HK91 with PSG-1 and MSG-90 parts.

Either way it's prohibited in Canada. Anything G3 related is prohibited
Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
Ok, you guys are the king's of rating a gun based solely on aesthetics, what do you think of the Czech Small Arms SA VZ 58 Sporter?
http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/default.asp?Pg=12&do=1&NIID=205
Now its not made by the usual CZ a.k.a. Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod who make the Skorpion, this is another Czech company making Vz. 58 rifles.
Now you might be asking, "But Monkey, aren't all AKs prohibited in Canada?" Well that's the beauty of it, it isn't an AK. It is a rifle using a different receiver who's aesthetics are based off of the AK, so it's completely fine.
"But Mega," you ask "Why don't you just get the regular Vz. 58 rifle from the CZ that you know and trust? You know, this: http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/default.asp?Pg=8&do=4&mcid=1&scid=12&mfid=98 "
Well I say, because the one I'm looking at is a .223 version that with a magazine adapter can use M16 mags. That means I can have 100 round Beta C Mags and use them on this rifle. It also standardizes with other rifles "I don't already own". Also, as strong as the 7.62x39mm is and how glorified the AK in general is, I'd rather have the .223 for "target shooting".
"But why don't you get the carbine or compact version?" Who says I won't? I'm starting off simple with the "Rifle" length version to test quality. It has an 18.75" barrel while the carbine and compact have 11.75" and 7" barrels respectively.
Now as you can see, there are also a 7.62x39mm carbine and compact models. Those seem very interesting as I seriously would like to have the compact 7.62x39mm because at that range, its no longer about accuracy but about stopping power. If I wanted a "rifle" length 7.62x39mm, I'd get either the vz. 58 from CZ or a Ruger Mini-30.
Thank you for reading all the way here. If you skipped to here, you suck fat cock.

After the end of this trimester, when I show my father the "report card" thingy, we'll be ordering this for me....
http://www.nighthawktactical.com/Tactical_Rifles.html
Its sooo fucking amazing, I jizzed four times just looking at it... I'll be getting the .338 Lapua Magnum version, with a base black body. I want to plaint it the Red Tiger color from CoD4...its different from Modern Warfare 2's red tiger...

I personally find camo gimmicky but its your rifle so have it your way.
As for .338 Lapuas, your money is better spent on either a Sako TRG-42 or an Accuracy International AX-338. No other 2 manufacturers better understand the .338 Lapua than those 2. Of the two though, Accuracy International is the best. I have never seen and fired a more accurate rifle than the examples from Accuracy International. The only thing about them is the price, but like with all things, you pay for quality.

You should seriously take a look at that.
Re: The OFFICIAL Firearm Thread
I'll agree, it does look pretty safisfactory, but I've always been a fan of Nighthawk Custom rifles, my grandfather has three rifles from them, a deer rifle and a "varmin" rifle, and one other like the one I'm getting. And I'll tell you they are VERY reliable, and very accurate compared to others as well.MegaMonkeyChunk wrote:RZRsharpKLR wrote:After the end of this trimester, when I show my father the "report card" thingy, we'll be ordering this for me....

I don't doubt Nighthawk makes quality rifles, its just that when I get a firearm for extreme accuracy, I always get the original because they are usually the best. Accuracy International helped Lapua in making their .338 caliber cartridge so they have already a better understanding on how to harness it potential. From what I understand, Nighthawk does make great firearms (especially their 1911s even though I dislike the 1911 platform) so you still can't go wrong.
