You can change what different buttons do.


For example, tactical layout switches the melee and crouch/prone button. So the B button is knife, and clicking the thumbstick in lowers your player's stance.

It's particularly useful for "dropshots", because you still have control of the thumbstick while laying down; however, this isn't too effective in Black Ops, because of the dolphin dive.

Yeah, no problem. Play around with them. You may find something you like better than default.

I've been playing with the default setting for so long now......old habits die hard.

I had the hardest time switching from Tactical to default when I did. I was into Halo before I got CoD4, so I was used to the Tactical controls. Took quite a while to get accustomed to Default.
I also used to use the Legacy stick layout back in the days of Halo 1, but 200 hours of Morrowind pretty much broke me of that (you couldn't set the stick layout in Morrowind).

I don't understand how RDR wins so many awards. Sure, its a big open world where you can do tons of crazy shit, but when RDR is winning awards, you can just imagine how mediocre 2010 was for games.

I ask myself that same question. RDR was not a good game by any stretch. I respect the fact that it's an "open world" blah, blah.....but the gameplay sucked. The best part about it was the horseshoe minigame. For the record I don't think black ops deserved the win either......weak sauce all around.

I don't think their list of games was that awesome. I'm just glad BO didn't get anything.

Seconded. At least someone has the balls to say something about Activision and Call of Duty. Surprised they didn't pay him to basically suck off Black Ops so it could release its sticky goodness to the audience.
