Yeah YLODx5. Fuck PS3.

I know how you feel. I just fixed my 3rd YLOD on Christmas. If it happens again, I'm just gonna have to buy a new PS3.

f it gets fixed I think its much more likely to happen again. Get a new one.

Well, it is already "weakened" by the first YLOD so any fixes to it are just helping it stay alive longer before it YLOD again. Buying a new one is the best way to go.

In the time I've been here no one I know has gotten RROD but a few of you have YOLD. I thought PS3 was better about not doing that.

Well I think there is more RROD than YLOD, but people with PS3s here are unlucky.

Even my 4 year old discontinued version of the 360 that I have still works. But yet my PS3 that I got last year lasted six months and then it got the YLOD.

But what I'm going to do is Sell my Xbox 360 250gb Limited Edition MW2 Console and all the games and buy a brand new PS3 Slim.

the slim isnt as bad as it looks and there is something satisfying about pushing the buttons on it. It is also quieter and cooler than the fats.

Today I'm going to try the vacum trick that someone told about, I'm basically going to suck out the inside(Dust) with a vacum cleaner, I know LOL.

Have you ever tried heating up the chips with a heatgun? Its quite hard and you could basically fry your board, but if you know how to do it right, it keeps your PS3 alive for a while. Perhaps its the same problem I had and your fan is dead.

Thought all you had to do was rub new heatsink compound on it?

Oh, I didn't try that, I smashed it up today, and recorded it and I wanna send it to Sony.

Well, yesterday my dad and little sister came in, with 2 Xbox 360 Slims. I was not happy, I thought my dad got me an Xbox to replace my PS3, but one was for him, and my little sister is annoying and probably bribed him into getting her an Xbox. She doesn't even play video games.


But I'm happy now because my dad got me a new PS3 Slim today.
