when does the fetus become a child?

Im not trying to be a dick I actually want to discuss this and understand your opinion.
Conception is when the sperm meets the egg. Pouts saying that that is when life starts.
But then its just some cells and whats the difference between killing that or an ant.

Personally, I find its when the heart starts beating. At that point, it is "alive". I believe this happens after about 3 months.

Good point, I think its the 10th week is when it becomes a human as such.

Tough to say. The way I see it, human life begins once the being is sentient. Before that, it's tough to tell the difference between a being with an immortal soul and a tasty omelette.

Siri, its only a tasty omelet until its been hit with sperm.

Do you want a sperm infested omelet?

Patty banned Lego. And since there is nobody here that jacks off to anime I would say this has been a pretty mature discussion so far.

And I think abortion is wrong. If you don't want your kid that much then just leave it at a hospital or a church or something, you don't need to kill it. It deserves a chance at life. That is just my opinion though.

Yes but when do you consider it "alive"?

In Canada, if its after the first trimester, you can no longer abort it. I know in America you can even get it aborted the day before its due.

When the sperm fertilizes the egg then that is when life starts and forms. You're all thinking about it the wrong way, it doesn't matter whether it begins to think or whether its heart is beating. The important matter is that it is the start of life. To take someone's chance at life is the same thing as murder.

But it is really "somebody" yet? The sperm by itself is not a "life" and the egg by itself is not a "life".

Just because it starts to form, doesn't mean anything is "alive" in there. We all have different definitions of "alive" anyway.
