I'm building a custom computer......
....and I would like to know the best Make & Model of each catagory.
P.S. This doesn't belong in the PC Gaming forum, its not for gaming.
Computer Case - (I don't want anything too flashy)
CPU - (AMD, Intel?)
Motherboard - (?)
RAM - (?)
Hard-drive - ( I want a 1TB)
Video / Graphics Card (NVidia, ATi?)
Power Supply - (?)
Audio / Sound Card - (?)
CD / DVD Burner - (?)
Speakers - (?)
.....and possible price range if you can?

Pretty much. If he doesn't know, then nobody does.

Stop pretending you know how to read books.

I will do two builds. One is a best of the catagories, which you will not be able to afford. I guarantee you that. And one is with a budget of around $2000
Awesome Build:
Case: Really depends on personal preference I love Lian Li myself. This is a great case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112243
CPU: Make sure you overclock it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115223
Motherboard: Asus rules: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131642
RAM: I've heard great things about these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231386
Storage (Hard drive isn't synonymous with Storage anymore): Get two of these behemoths: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227524
Graphics: Honestly, I'd say wait for the GTX 475 (or even the dual GPU version). It'll run loads cooler than the GTX 480 and is projected to be about the same cost. If you want best performance ATM (and only care about performance), then get a couple 5970s.
Power Supply: PC P&C is great here, only thing is that they're not modular. But I've had my 750w Silencer for 6 years and have yet to have it fail. And when it does fail, I can send it back. Lifetime warranty. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703028
Sound Card: Not necessary anymore. I have heard that people are getting marginal gains over onboard audio with some cards, but I personally haven't researched it.
CD Drive: Again, not a field I'm very familiar with, I've been using the same Lite-on drive for the past 6 years, and migrating it between rigs. This seems pretty good: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136181
Speakers: I personally only use 2.1 systems (due to my computer's placement in the room) so I won't be very helpful in the best department. 1377 reviewers cannot be wrong with these though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121120
Budget Build:
Case: This is a great case for the money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112154
CPU: Intel 870 is about $6 more than the 860, but clocks higher and has a higher turbo and multiplier. If your'e gonna overclock, go with the 875k.
Motherboard: The following mobo is amazing for the money. Its in my rig right now as a matter of fact. Only thing I have to warn you is to make sure you're using a good ethernet cable, and to not force it in. If you look a couple topics down, I bent the pins in mine and was unable to use the internet until I figured got into the ethernet slot with a pair of pliers: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128412&cm_re=gigabyte_ud3-_-13-128-412-_-Product
RAM: I'm running two sets of these in my current rig. Great RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277
Storage: It's $10 more than the 1tb drive, but you get twice the storage: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136514
Graphics: One or two of these. Run great. Amazing performance for the money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127510
Sound Card: Same as for the "Awesome Rig"
CD DVD Burner: Again, not much experience
Speakers: Same as in "Awesome Rig" Creative is always good. A seemingly unknown brand "Insignia" also have great audio quality. I cannot comment on the longevity though, since I've only had mine for a couple months.
The "Awesome Rig" will probably bankrupt you. The Budget Build will be sub 2k for sure, probably in the low 1000s.

Your sig is way too big man. Use a smaller one.

Re: I'm building a custom computer......
I did some lookin around, and I think I've found the stuff I was lookin for. like a AMD Phenom II X6 Six-Core 'Black Edition' Processor @ 3.4GHz, and for the graphics card ATi Radeon HD 5970, and the motherboard is ATX Desktop AMD Phenom II, power supply was a Rocketfish 900w.

Proc won't perform nearly as well as an i7, let alone an Intel hexacore. Plus it can't reach as high overclocks and its a lot less stable. Graphics card is the highest performing (ATM, GTX 480 x2 not included) but runs incredibly hot. Mobo, isn't a mobo. Never heard of Rocketfish.
To sum it up.
Your CPU: Not even close to the fastest.
GPU: Fastest single-card solution, but not even close to the fastest possible solution.
Mobo: You didn't pick one.
PSU: Unknown brand

While it would be a really, really fast computer, having a SSD as primary storage is probably a bad idea and a waste of money in the long run.

Based on what. Its more of a gamble then anything, since almost no research has been done on the long-term reliability of an SSD.

I guess simply based on my gut.
SSDs might have really good longevity. But I hate being the Guinea pig. Especially when it's coming out of my shallow wallet.
