Canadian Elections
So I'm asking this to the age-of-majority Canadians all up in this bitch.
Who are you voting for? Why? Who do you think will win the election?
Did you watch the Leader's debate today?
Personally, I'm voting Conservative, because Ignatieff is a moron, the NDP have no chance in Calgary, and Stephen Harper is a nice guy. We've had him over for dinner. He lived across the street from me when he lived in Calgary.

Re: Canadian Elections
If I was of age, I'd vote for NDP.
Funny story, as we are learning politics and of the election in school, as soon as the teacher said the green party supported the legalization of marijuana the whole class applauded and cheered wildly. No hope in this generation, eh?

Re: Canadian Elections
I've been voting Green since the beginning of time. I realize I'm pretty much throwing my vote away living in Alberta, but I think that's going to change this election. I'm moving to Edmonton Strathcona like 2 days before the election. A look at this list will tell you that this is the one riding in Alberta that is currently represented by a party other than the Conservatives. I think that my one vote can actually make a difference this election, so I'll probably throw it behind Linda Duncan so as not to split the leftist vote.

Re: Canadian Elections
A vote for anybody but the Tories is throwing it away in Calgary West.
I would vote for the NDP/Green if they had any glimmer of hope. But I live in one of the wealthiest ridings in Alberta, so everyone votes for the Conservatives.

Re: Canadian Elections
Its so bad here that they could just paint a stick red and it'd win every seat on the island. Leaders Debates were both classics especially the french one. I'm just gonna keep everyone guessing on who I'm voting for

I voted Conservative who came 4th place in my riding
I still can't believe the NDP beat out the Liberal here. Even worse, Paul Martin's old seat in LaSalle-Emard was won by an NDP bitch. My mom was almost at tears until she saw the Bloc only got 4 seats.
NOTE: Every english person in Quebec absolutely detests the Bloc.
Re: Canadian Elections
My riding is again the only non-Conservative riding in AB.
It's not that I'm against guns; I'm just against most of the Conservative platform.

To be honest, I wish I could vote for someone else. Having only one choice as a gun owner (I don't own any guns *wink* *wink*) is pretty bad.
EDIT: Quebec is now Snooki.

I live there! NDP won by a lot bigger of a margin this time; last time they were only about 400 votes ahead of the CPC candidate.Wsxdas wrote:Lol, only one riding in Alberta got a non conservative seat.

In our local elections, we elected a left leaning Muslim to mayor. In CALGARY.
WHAT THE FUCK MAN

Re: Canadian Elections
In our elections, we elected a person who took a vacation in Vegas during the campaign, doesn't speak French in a Quebec riding and hasn't even been to the area she's representing. We also elected a guy who's 19 years old and has about as much experience running the country as I do. The NDP were a stupid protest vote and now Quebec will pay for it.
