If they really wanted to make it dark and edgy, the Big bad Wolf should have been a serial child rapist/killer who just escaped from federal prison and has already raped/killed 14 more kids. Then the Lumberjack would have to Dr. Salvador from Resident Evil 4 who chainsaws indiscriminately but with extreme prejudice. Red Riding Hood should have been Abigail Breslin for added effect.
