Commercials can no longer be louder than the volume on the TV. This already happened last year in the US and Canada is finally catching up. Hopefully this will pass but who would really oppose this? Who really wants to hear commercials?

Anyway, just posting for its informative value, not really for a discussion.

I schedule shows to record with my PVR, then I watch them at a later date and skip through commercials.

Wait, this law already happened in the US? I don't think it's in effect yet then because ads are still loud as fuck compared to the shows. I hate that so much. Set the volume so you can hear the show you're watch and then it goes to break and you have to turn the TV down.

Internet videos have been doing this too =/

I don't know if it went into effect, but the law did pass.

Also, I don't even bother with online ads that have sound. I either ignore them and do something else on my computer or mute them and do something else on my computer.

No seriously though, thank god. I hate having to keep adjusting the volume on my TV during the commercial breaks, it is so tedious. Too bad my mute button is broken. >_>

lol commercials. I can't stand American TV's commercial break every 5 minutes. How you guys manage to actually remember what's going on in the show with all that information spam is beyond me.
