Im pretty excited myself. I don't think ill be into full motion games, but I could totally see a game like rainbow six or something like that using a controller, but incorporating the motion into the cover system.

I am midly excited. I am more or less warming up to the idea of motion controllers...but I as stated before I don't want it to ruin my hardcore games.

Not me -_- it's a dumb idea... but smart for marketing (whole new audience) but for real gamers, it's stupid, but it will sell well.

No it won't, the wii itself is way ahead of ps3 and 360 in sales, even if everyone who owned an xbox got kinect, it still wouldn't be as popular as the wii, motion and 3d gaming is not where the gaming industry should be heading -_-

IMO, Sony has a better motion controller. Having the Wii style motion control with handheld devices allows a greater precision and could conceivably lead to more "hardcore" motion controlled games.

Using kinect might be too imprecise to hold any water at all with actual gamers, and it really only supports games that are simple by nature.

I think it would feel better to hold on to something when you're playing. Like you said, it would seem like if you shifted your body weight you could end up drastically changing what you had in mind.

Wii > Move > Kinect

^Good read.
I think this dude in the comments said it right:
"Gamers are generally not thin people. Kinect wants you to get off the couch and make an ass of yourself in the name of fun. If we wanted to do that... we wouldn't be inside with the comfy couch and television. Move wins for the simple fact there's no standing involved. You underestimated the fatness of your audience Microsoft, good day"

Sorry but when I play video games I don't want to have to move. I want to sit and play.

Wii, Kinect, and Move can all go

i dont mind motion controlled games but only in a party setting or with my kids.
if i'm playing an fps....i want a controller.

i dont see myself buying kinect as i already have a wii....but if the graphics are sick and game selection is superior to the wii i'll consider it.

Well it would be pointless to buy Kinect, my Xbox got jacked, I already owned a Wii, and the Move system looks like a dildo. Not really interested.
