Sniping

Post  Demonicpopcorn on Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:15 am

I miss sniping. I was really good at it in CoD4. MW2 ruined it. Sad

Sniping in CoD4 wasn't sniping... It was shooting a OHK gun through a scope. You couldn't actually "Snipe"

There is no "real" sniping in video games, just loose representation of sniping.

But I agree, I liked CoD4's "sniping" over MW2's "sniping".

I'd like to disagree, there was this game back in '02 that set out to be the most realistic sniping game ever, you killed maybe 5 people the whole game, and spent most of your time stalking. It failed miserably.

Well of course it did. That sounds horrible.

Don't you know? Nowadays it's all about quick-scoping and being 1337.

Unfortunately, Mac Taylor is not in this signature, so Donald Flack Jr. will be representing CSI: NY instead.

Red Orchestra should have some better sniping.

You can dial in different distances for your scope. And the scope is actually 3D. As in, ONLY the scope is zoomed in, not the entire gun. Oh, and you can actually use the iron sights underneath the scope.

Not the first game to do that.

Not saying it is. I just want to know why all of the mainstream games can't do things like that?

Cause mainstream mostly means casual, and casual players don't like when things are that complicated.
